Default Torque Solution front motor mount install and review

Available through Obnoxious Performance for 119 shipped!

http://www.obnoxiousperformance.com/.../ts-tc-002.htm

So I recently got a front motor mount from Torque Solution and it was exactly what I was looking for! The quality of the mount of course is none-less than perfect as you can expect and its function follows in the same manor as it's promises of eliminated wheel hop are completely followed through. With the new mount installed the car feels entirely connected to the ground and back up to the driver providing them with the response and connection any true performance driver craves.

I put this mount in then ended up driving to San Francisco that same day so it gave me every aspect of what any driver would face. When I first started the car I noticed an abrupt shake that caught me off guard and only a slight increase in vibration at idle. After the car warmed up I took off like normal and there was a little more shake then stock. After driving for the day I noticed the shake is really only present under a load and under 1400 rpm. Other then that, everything about this mount is phenomenal! When taking off from a start at WOT there is no more hop, nor is there any hop what-so-ever on the 1-2 shift. The motor feels entirely connected to the driver as well as the ground in a fashion that can only be described as perfection. Although it was not major upgrade it feels like I'm driving an entirely different car. The cars feel is much more aggressive and even noticeable by my girlfriend riding in the passenger seat with no negativity on her part.

As I mentioned before there is a slight vibration under 1400 rpm and when sitting in traffic it required much more clutch slip to keep away. For this reason if you sit in traffic every day this might not be the best upgrade for you however for everyone else this is seriously a must have upgrade! Hope this helps anyone looking for another upgrade!

Would auto users see these same benefits?

I'm not entirely sure. With an auto the 1-2 shift is not aggressive so benefits would not help during shifting. This really depends on if you have any wheel hop when launching hard such as if you were doing a drag launch. If so then you would notice a major difference. Not to mention the amount of response you get when you are driving and decide to hammer down on the pedal. The only thing I might be weary of is that with an automatic the car is under a constant load and the mount really only sees a decent amount of vibration when under a load at lower RPMs so you might notice more vibration at idle then a manual transmission user would feel. All in all benefits would be similar but limited in the aspects that you are already limited with by using an automatic transmission.

Oh no they sent you the wrong one? Bummer! I got the first one before they released for everyone and the center hole was too small :/. Once I got it drilled I loved the mount though. Hope TS gets it fixed for you!

^ With the A/C on or off? In my manual, the A/C makes it much more noticeable

Ahh, the age-old fix for any and every automotive problem...open windows and loud music. It's like automotive duct tape for the stuff you can't reach to apply duct tape.

Just installed the motor mount today. I can feel the difference. It does shake a little more at idle, but not anything that bothers too much. I'd recommend to those that are on the fence on purchasing it.
