Default TRD Equipment

I'm looking into trading in for a 2016 tC2 and was wondering if anybody knew if the TRD exhaust/intake options actually add power or if they just make the car sound better. I'm looking for tangible numbers (dyno sheets or 1/4mile times if you have them) and not just anecdotal evidence like "I could totally feel the difference."

Its a pretty big price jump and I'm not willing to take the hit financially if it's just aesthetic.

That's what I thought. Intake and exhaust are generally supporting mods for bigger engine modifications and are otherwise just to change the sound of the car. Sadly, I like the stock exhaust better than the TRD. They even sound pretty good straight-piped from what I could find on youtube.

Yep, it's an N/A four bang job. Expect nothing, get nothing.

Makes the car no more faster than adding a wing spoiler and stickers..

Intake and exhaust aren't supporting mods for anything on this car. If you want more hp, you have to turbo it...end of story.

And straight piping this car is the worst. But everyone has their own idea of what exhaust setup sounds the best.

A turbo would be considered a "bigger engine modification," no?
I really like the tone of the stock exhaust, it's just too quiet for me. I can't hear it at all if the radio is on and I like to hear my car.

It could be, but the intake and header would immediately be scrapped if you get a turbo anyway. Sure, you could keep your cat-back and maybe get a couple extra horsepower because of the larger pipe diameter...but again...negligible difference. Just sound.

Agreed on the tone of the stock exhaust though. It's got a nice growl...but I agree the volume is a bit low. I used to have a Tsudo exhaust for awhile and got rid of it and went back to the stock exhaust and it was eerily quiet lol.

Now I have the TRD axle and the Dezod Green header and it's an awesome sound. Very high quality tone and with good volume, but doesn't scream "look at me!"
