Default Want to be louder!

I have a Descendant exhaust and it's definitely loud, but now I can't control myself and must get louder. Can anyone chime in on as to how I might go about doing this? I would get headers, but the weapon-r one seems unreliable (CEL lights) and i'm not sure if a CAI is worth the cash. Open to any ideas.

Thanks!

Drive everywhere in first gear. And don't forget to have your windows down with your radio all the way up. It also helps to put all kinds of flashing lights and strobes all over your car.

headers would be the best bet. im sure there are other headers out there that dont throw a cel or if not some should be out soon. i dont have headers but isnt there a way to fix the problem with the cels?

if you really want to get loud.. just take the cat back completely off and leave it that way lol. ridiculous!! but as far as the weapon r header. you can get the cel eliminator just you have to figure out which way to turn it so the light dont come on (which i have yet to do)

has it been discussed on the forums? i'd love to be able to do this.

has anyone taken the resonator out of a descendant exhaust?

Are you saying you think test pipes would not be raspy?...

more like asking.. i'm just interested in making it louder without sacrificing the deep sound. i don't want any rasp at all.

Pretty much any exhaust modification that eliminates a cat or resonator will give you rasp.

I stole this idea from 2tcornot2tc, but you can remove the bolts in the last section of the Descendant, just before the muffler, and throw some washers in there. This will leave a gap creating an "exhaust leak" which will make it a bit louder. Worth a shot if all you are going for is volume and you shouldn't even need to jack the car up.

I'd like to hear that! You probably wouldn't even need more than one washer.

And you can keep adding more washers untill you get the ear piercing sound you're looking for. Plus, washers are WAY cheaper than test pipes and or a header. The downside is you will have crazy hot exhaust gasses coming out pretty much under the rear seat, so you don't want to sit at idle much, if ever....

I'm sorry, but this washer idea sounds REALLY dumb. The exhaust gasses are meant to be exiting from the rear of the car for safety reasons- namely so that you don't breathe them yourself.

Carbon monoxide can kill someone in a good size garage in about 5 or 6 mins, so id say their pretty bad lol. idk my opinion i would just get the trd axle back and go for a tone over stupid loud. unfortunately you cant make a 4banger loud without having it sound like butt hole... shoulda got a v8

-but do what you want to do since its your car and the only thing that really matters is if you like it not what anyone else thinks. post a video of what it sounds like if you decide to go this route
