I'm in Texas so the AC is a must during the day. But when I'm pulling out to a busy street and accelerate (usually Wide Open Throttle) I often get a luke warm blast of air. Then it gets cool again when I get up to speed, its only for 3 seconds or so.
Is this to protect gas mileage or something, or so I have a vacuum problem?

 

in other cars i have owned i have seen the AC be momentarily interrupted when going wot... specifically my 07 mazdaspeed3. i can only assume they are trying to a) give u full power or b) tryna keep load down as much as possible under those conditions

 

Wrap the A/C lines with some insulate.
