Default What next? Short Shifter or motor mount

Ok so i've did a few mods to my tC2 already i have my build on clubsciontc tho.
http://clubsciontc.com/forums/show-o...ack-tc2-40958/.

Now i want something else before the month ends since next month i will be saving up for an exhaust and suspension!

Short shifter hands down. A motor mount won't help you shift down the track ;)

More exhaust are coming this summer so I would wait a little bit.
Suspension, their are a lot out now, it tough to pick.

^that or if I can make something to mount my phone to...

^^The trd shifter is great, you will like it. I'm just waiting for a clutch/flywheel combo. It's like you want to yank on the shifter hard, but the engagements are slow. In a way I hate pre synchronized gears, but at the same time it is good enough for you not to do a 1-2-1 or 3-4-3 or shift into the wrong gear.

This is a prime example of a 1-2-1...

Do both(I installed my polyurethane front motor mount first to minimize wheel hop, short shifter and cable shifter bushings was done weeks after), and regarding suspension I'd still wait for what else is to be announced and released.

Do the motor mounts for sure.. short shifter makes no difference in performance if not little.. some even put longer shifters.. motor mounts makes your engine stable putting more torque to the ground

well my bday is next month so i might have her buy the motor mount and fog lights for the car. My parents are prolly gonna give 200 each and i have about 600 saved for an exhaust but im not sure what to get. I really want greddy but not sure when they releasing. I like the descendant but 600 i think is way to much and i'd rather pay the extra cash for a greddy. but if not ill pay the 400 for tsudo, use the extra cash on eibach pros(dont want a huge drop) and the extra cash i might have left over ill prolly wait for nst to release their pulley!

GReddy is a good company, and they are suppose to release two exhaust's for the tC2 according to their site..
  • Turbo Ti-C 70mm Cat-Back Exhaust
  • TBA rear section only exhaust
I was going to jump on a lot of performance mods, but I will wait until the middle of July or beginning of august to decide. If you have been reading a long about GReddy's build they are still testing stuff out on their time attack car.

http://greddy-usa.blogspot.com/searc...C%20Demo%20Car

When I talked to TSUDO, they said they will do a discount on the exhaust so it will be around $480 with free shipping. I heard stories about them and their not good.

Also "Tanabe" is coming out with stuff too. Suspension , exhaust, etc.

PTuning is also releasing stuff also...

This is the lineup that I came out with..

GReddy???? TBA
TSUDO S2?? ETA June 2011
Tanabe ??? TBA
Ptuning ??? TBA
Injen --- Available
HKS----- Available
Descendant Available
TRD Axle Back Available

Get the Descendant. I finally received and put mine on yesterday. I'm telling you, its so sick. Sound isn't obnoxious and when you punch the gas, you know its there. For me, I don't like to hear the ricer sound all the time. It's exactly what i was looking for. The shop i went to install it at was impressed with the welds and quality of it. They were surprised i only paid $570. Get it!!

Yea i might wait, if nothing else appears around the end of june or beggining of july ill jump on the descendant since it is the the only cat back right now! hopefully they drop the price but i think having a short shift and motor mounts will def make the car alot of more fun to drive! have a weird question i never tuned any car i ever had. If i end up getting exhaust, headers, intake, i put the motor mount, lightweight pulleys, can i get a tune on the ecu or do i need a piggy back thing like the aem f i/c thing or i would even get that much of a gain!?

Toyotas ecs are pretty much unhackable. You will need a standalone or piggy back. Hydra ems, GReddy emanage or aem are the main ones. Tuning will help out with afr's, allow you to add a two step if you like and much more. In other words it will help but you will want cams for more potential.

Descendant has the aem one. GReddy is still working on their emanage and will release it with their turbo kit. I called hydra ems and the said they need a test car. If I lived in calif I would be all over this stuff.
