^ Ah, I can stop by tomorrow morning, bright and early as soon as you guys open up.

I am down to buy the battery, the tie down + tray if willing to sell separate. But if not, I will be ok.

I am probably going to wait until august to get an exhaust.

What the car really needs is a clutch and flywheel combo. It just a waiting game now...

Wow, can't get over the fact that the TC2 can pack 265s in it's wells! Guess it will come in handy with the HP that turbo kit will be cranking out. Thanks, I'm liking that combo.

You probably can fit 275.
We went slightly conservative because it's a dealership car.

Please stop by at 10am tomorrow.

Everything on the car (turbo kit, exhaust, and battery setup) is custom one-off. So, we don't have anything to sell at this point. Again, if we get enough interest in the turbo kit and exhaust, we can definitely put them in to production.

Regards,
Mike @ PTUNING

So if you went 275 on the rear, what would the offset be?

I feel both of you on this, but I go by the theory: Better to have and not need, than need and not have. I drive a lot, hard at some times and easy on others. I just want those items for piece of mind.

Same offset of +45mm.
You may have to compromise the ride height slightly to fit 275.

No problem.
The car was actually picked up today by Lustine Scion.
They need to show it to their regional manager.
We should get it back within 1-2 days to complete the tune.

The exhaust will most likely be offered as an S-back first, should be priced similar to 1G tC S-back exhaust listed on our website . 3'' diameter tubing, with a center and rear muffler. We need interest to put this exhaust into production.

I dont understand why you need interest. You already have the exhaust designed... the R&D is done...

more money the merrier? maybe they make a new jig for every exhaust? I got quoted $1200 for a cat-back when they already had their project tC in the works.

s-back is pretty much the same as descendant's exhaust I think. it'll prob eliminate the 2nd cat under the car.

No no, I meant what is this S-Back referring to. S-what? Header, Cat, Muffler... this newfangled jargon you kids use.

S-pipe on descendant kit is connected to the hot side of the turbo. I had some clearance issues with mine:

S-pipe is under the turbo manifold to the left of the wastegate in the pic.

My guess is that they're either talking about that "S" or s for "straight-back"?

In order for us to put a part into production, we have to mass produce it, and this takes money. It would not be a ideal to produce 50 exhausts only to sell a few. This is why we want to get at least 10 people to commit before we put the exhaust into production.

You were probably quoted for a one-off custom exhaust. As we all know anything custom is very labor intensive.

S-back replaces everything from the factory s-pipe to the muffler (excl. the s-pipe).

That is not your S-pipe. That would be the Downpipe that connects to the Hot-side of the turbo. The S-pipe is underneath the car and is what connects the downpipe to the rest of the exhaust.

From shortest to longest

Axle-back = From the rear axle to the rear of the vehicle
Cat Back = From the second catalytic converter to the rear of the vehicle
S-Back = From the S-pipe to the rear of the vehicle
Turbo Back = From the down pipe coming off the turbo all the way to the rear of the vehicle

Turbo back replaces every component of your exhaust stream starting from the turbo's downpipe.

The unique thing about PTuning's turbo systems is that their Downpipe is actually a downpipe + S-pipe. It's two piece and goes all the way to the mid-pipe of the exhaust system.

Stock exhaust system is a three-piece design. From your header on the motor it goes.....S-pipe ----> Mid Pipe ----> Axle back (Muffler).
