Hi guys, I'm looking to go all alpine in my tC speakers. I've seen and am interested in 2 pairs of 6 1/2" R's component speakers (SPR 610C) one for where the 6"x9" is and the other for the rear panel, but I don't know with what to go for the 3 1/2" mid range, will a 4" fit in that space? What can I do, what could you guys recommend me? Thanks

 

Why put 6 1/2's where a 6x9 is intended? I dont know where the speakers are in the tc2 but id say coaxials in back and components up front. Thats just my opinion

 

cause I don't like 6x9's. They try to implement bass but it's not enough, that's why I want to go with component speakers, so I can dedicate each driver to its supposed range (no bass on small speakers...)

 

A quality set of 6x9 coax will have in-line crossovers. There are also 6x9 component set-ups available. As a general rule of thumb people advise against mixing component and coax speakers in a single stage.
