Cargo cover for tC2
The factory spare tire covers use something close to this, commonly referred to as Masonite or hardboard: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202088786/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=hardboard&storeId=10051
Basically it's pegboard without the holes. Then just cover it with speaker carpet and add the hinges like in your pic. You might want to get some big pieces of cardboard first to use as a template so you get the dimensions and the curve just right.
Post some pics if you decide to take this on.

Probably been asked or tried but would the cargo cover from a tC1 fit? The hinges look relatively the same and seems to have roughly the same spaceclaim. Haven't looked too in depth about it but just a thought.
Unfortunately it does not fit. The area is wider, plus it doesn't cover everything to the edge of the back window like the one above. Mine just falls every time I hit a sharp turn, so it took it out.
Yea I keep looking at this too, it doesn't look like it would be too hard to come up with something just time consuming on the first run... Wonder if you could use the hardware from the flexible one to make a solid one and just carpet it with speaker/sub enclosure carpet. Or just take the flexible one and just modify it. I'm surprised someone isn't making one and selling it yet.
I have it and I just got the cover a couple months ago the Scion dealer does have them. that is the only place that I know of to specifically get that cover.
