Default Dash Kit?

So I was thinking that the interior of the Scion tC is pretty dark with it being all black materials except for the silver accents scattered around, and I was thinking that maybe a dash kit would help the cabin get a little more colour, and I found these dash kits, but being completely new to any kind of car customizing I don't know if it would be a good idea, or not, also I'm thinking of going with a sliver colour (I'm not a big fan of the wood grain) Just thought I'd get some thoughts and opions or maybe if someone has had experience with them in the past.

Take a look at what WellesleyScion has done to his tC with vinyl. It definitely looks better than those awful faux-wood kits.

Faux-wood has no place in a sports coupe.

Don't be so sure. If everyone chose sensibly there would be no market for spinners, donks, dubs, chrome wheels, etc., etc...

That's alright I'm not the kind of guy that would go for spinners either, although I am part of the NFS: Underground generation, but yeah I was thinking either the silver or maybe one of the carbon fiber choices, but the red carbon fiber looks pink to me, any comments on that?

Was thinking brushed aluminum would look nice. I've thought about getting one of the kits, but I would like to see how it looks up close. Also, wish I didn't have to order it all. It seems like they give you pieces to cover everything so you can apply it as necessary. It wouldn't take much to give it some nice accents.

From this, I'd only need the piece around the radio/clock, the strip above the glove box, the panel around the mirror controls, and the door window switch panels. ANything more would be tacky looking. Maybe the radio, but somehow I think it would look like an 80's CB radio with the faux brushed aluminum.

Wood looks good in a car meant for a wood interior (lookin' at you BMW)

Carbon fiber looks silly... may as well put a giant wing on the back, glow-lights underneath, a fake hood scoop on the black-painted hood, 15 sponsor stickers for sponsors who don't give me a dime, and go find an hourly wage job with no health insurance, and start wearing those flat-billed baseball caps.

'cuz I'd be a PLAYA!!!

how the hell did you know what i did to my ride, and what i do?

i agree with comments about wood grain / carbon fiber. i would love some silver accents tastefully placed though to match the steering wheel and shifter. but those kits do go a little overboard

You know you don't have to use the whole kit if you don't want. Then you can try to sell the pieces you don't use on eBay or something... Just a thought.

I was definetly thinking the silver, but now I'm not sure about this pattern tek stuff, I'm in Canada and not the US so I don't know how that would work, what's the cost on something like that anyway?
