Default How do I Disable the Seat Belt Chime on a 2013 tC?

How do I disable the Seatbelt Chime? It's very loud and annoying.
Yes I drive with a seatbelt but my vehicle gets moved around my property often to make way for other vehicles.

Wondering if there's an easy way for this.

Cut the buckle off the belt. Plug into receptacle. Problem solved!

Obviously I'm joking, don't really do this.

I take your response as 100% truth.

I'm off to go slice random components and splice wires.

Theres gotta be, it is connected to the seatbelt and goes off when it's not plugged in. It should be connected to the seats weight sensors for the airbags as well to know when someones actually sitting in it or not. If theres no official way then I might need to get creative and post results.

Yea mine comes in LOUD and clear the moment its put into a gear. I have the manual btw.

But for those interested I found that it's an option the dealership can disable with a quick plug in according to this thread here:

Does the chime stay on all the time, or does it eventually turn off? I used the trip odo method on my daughter's 2013 tC, and it only comes on for about 15 seconds.

You need to pay a visit to the stealer and have them do it. I did it on mine.
They plug it to the computer and program it to open/close both front doors and hatch with one click of your key remote and at the same time it disables the seatbelt alarm.
Dont forget that everything will reset itself back to normal if you every disconnect your battery.

Yup, I watched them do it on the plug in computer. Two Alarms, one for drivers and one for passenger. Had them turn em both off and never heard a peep out of them since.

Lights still show up on dash to tell me if mine or passenger requires buckling. Perfect and just the way I like it.
