Does anyone have HVAC LED step by step DIY instructions? Thanks in advance.

Sure did. The closest thing I could find to a DIY was the Cleopatra build and all it lists was how many LED's you need.

 

The HVAC LED's are a really easy swap. First, you have to take out the HVAC controls. If you don't know how to do this, it's covered in my Interior Trim Paint DIY in the interior section of this forum. Then, on each HVAC control there's a few layers of plastic casing that you have to remove. It's done in the same way that you removed the HVAC control from the interior panel. Just stick a flat head in there and release a clip on a few sides. Once you peel back all the layers of plastic covers, you'll eventually get to the LED's on the board. The backlight LED is super easy and can be removed by using a phillips head screwdriver and unscrewing it from the back. Then just put the new LED in the exact opposite way. The 3mm led is visable from the front of the board as well. Just cut the prongs and solder in the new one. Then do the reverse steps to put it back together, and you're done!
