underdash/footwell LED's?
i searched around the forums but cant seem to find any 2nd gen tc with this mod? i've seen a lot of 1st geners though.
my plan is to use t-taps to tap into one of the accessories wires, so it will turn on when i turn my headlights on. just wondering if anyone has a DIY for the 2nd gen?

I have a 6 pc million color led kit in my car under dash an under both seats in front an back an under my car
thanks for the respond
i know ppl have done this already on their 2nd gen, i see a ton of ppl with this on first gen. but i am guessing there are no DIY's for it huh. i'll probably just use t-tap and tap the leds into an existing wire and see?

dont really need a toggle switch, just want it on whenever i turn my headlights on, which means the lights on my dash will be on, so i can just tap it to that and it'll work? i did that to my tsx and it works lol.
I wired mine into my headlights, so whenever I turn my headlights on they come on as well. If you know where to wire them it's really simple. It took me 2 minutes to wire them and about 5 to mount the lights and hide all the wires.

This is where you plug the red wire, you must also ground the black wire to a screw or bolt.

I have mine on a 4 channel wireless switch running off of a secondary 12V battery in my trunk. The lights were purchased from Oznium.com, 4 total (2 under the dash, 2 attached to the bottom of the front seats).

one question to everyone though does this void your warranty or anything of that sort, because maybe my dealership is just trolling me or something buy according to them anything that is not from them would so every install i have done would take seconds to take out but i'm planning on wiring this to the dome light so it's a different story
I ran my own custom wiring because I didn't want to tap into anything stock. It's a lot more work but at least Toyota/Scion can't say that I voided my warranty for messing with stock electrical runs. Didn't want to take any chances.
I actually just did mine tonight. I tapped into the exact same fuse as Wixo, though I did use an add-a-circuit. It took me like an hour and a half cause i wanted to completely hide the remote that I stuffed under the center console. It looks pretty good if I may say so. My ground wire is the cigarette lighter.

John, I just checked the manual and they didn't show any fuses for the domes. However, you can double check the manual again, it's on page 329-330. Btw, fuse I used is number 16, listed as "tail".
But if I have any time I will definitely write up a full diy, just gonna be busy the next couple weeks (Cali and stuff).
and yeah the black/white/red box is the control for the lights. I usually keep them on and just activate them with the headlight switch.
This is the kit I used:

Not yet, this write up was thrown together in about 20 mins.
