Interior vinyl wrapping
Hi guys,
I am new here. Got a 2 week old white tC. Loving it so far except the cheap interior plastics. I was thinking of getting some 3M di-noc and wrapping it on the hard plastic.
Anyone here got experience removing the interior trim? I saw instructions on removing the gauge and the trim piece around te radio, but nothing on the door panels and the glove box or centre console. Any insights would be appreciated.

The glove box is rather easy. Just open it up and lift up toward you and pull it out. You will notice a set button toward the bottom right. This lets you "turn the passenger air bag on or off" The center console uses to 10mm bolts. Open it up, remove the carpet piece, you will see two 1omm bolts.
For the door panel "MightyP" has done his door panels interior.

From my understanding to remove the door panels, you will need to start from top sides(edges) then bottom .Roll down the windows completely down. Start from the inside out, and work your way down. Use your fingers and gently pry the door trim. Their are two gray clips that hold the side of the door panel on the out side. You will need a knife, or a flathead screwdriver to gently pry those away. That should get you started, im not going to remove my panels all the way.

Thanks for the tip. I'll start with the glove box, and the pieces near those. I am still not very comfortable with pulling open the door panels yet as I don't want to mess up any power connections to the windows. I'll do those later.
WellelsyScion: thanks for the photos. Your thread was what inspired me to do an interior wrap. The only difference is that I want to wrap the pieces that you didn't wrap (like the glovebox and the pieces near it), lol. I also ordered a padded armrest cover from the same place you did.
I'd also wrap the top of the dash too, but due to safety concerns with airbags I'll stick to glovebox and centre console for now.
I'll post some pictures when I get home.
