Default iPOD Issues

Has anyone out there sawapped out their pioneer premium head unit for a aftermarket one? If so I am in the market for the plug/wire that goes from under the arm rest to under the cup holders. Its the cable that has iPOD written on in under the arm rest. Thanks

Your aftermarket headunit should use it's own iPod wire. I am slightly confused as to what wire you're speaking of. What HU do you have?

I have a 2007 scion tc that came stock with the basic scion-pioneer(t1807) head unit. I recently purchased the premium head unit (t1809). This unit has a aux input(which does not work) and a ipod direct input. I have the cable that goes from the ipod to the plug under the armrest but I do not have the plug that this cable gets plugged into. I was wondering if anyone had the t1809 as stock and then went to a aftermarket unit. If so I would like to buy this cable, since a aftermarket unit will not utilize it. I hope this makes sense.

Ok that makes more sense even though the plug is under the A/C controls in the little cubby hole. Have you tried to source these parts down from the dealer? It may not be too expensive.

I placed my question in the G2 tc page before I placed it in the G1 tc page. On my year this plug is in under the arm rest on the new models it is under the temp controls.
I have found the cord I am looking for online but it goes for $73.00 before shipping. I was hopping that someone would be willing to sell me theirs so that is why I started this post but in the wrong area.

Haven't seen anyone even pull the cable out, they usually just tuck it away if a new HU is put in place. Good luck with your search though.
