Default Modifying Blank Dash Switch cutout..

Is there a how-to for removing paneling and accessing the blank rectangular switch cutouts on the left side of the dash next to the mirror controls?

I couldn't find any info for the specific task. I eventually wanna Dremel out a blank and put a switch in, I just need to know how to get to the blank
and remove it so I can continue.

Thanks.

pull the entire dash bezel on that side then you have access to the blank

which u can remove either by hand or with a screw driver to push the tabs, it pops right off

As said above ^ Pull the dash benzel out and the blank button can be removed by squeezing the top and bottom
of the button and pulling out through the front. Extremely easy

To modify it, just use a Dremel and TAKE YOUR TIME Dremeling out only the area needed to fit the switch in there.

I did this to my blank cover

Great, thanks for the info. I'm also having trouble finding a place to get an OEM blank cover for the tC2,

Where would be a good place to get one of those?

Blank part number is : 55539-28160-C0
Google search that and you'll find a listing of various sites that sell it for about $4

Or get it from your dealer. The part is used in various Toyota cars so it should always be in stock.
