I have hid's from meng motorsports 35w. 8k. works well when everything is dry. The problem occurs when it is raining at night. Cant see anything. Now I've seen cars whose hid's lights the ground even with 8k-10k. do i need a 55w baluster?? inputs please. thank you in advance

 

55w will produce more light. But you lose color.

 

well i don't mind color, like i could go with with 5k then

 

your problem is that you are using 8000k, which is easily lost when there is rain on the ground. there is a reason that OEM HIDs are 4300k. it provides the most useful light in any weather condition.

 

What if I went with 5k for a clean white color?

 

yup, with 5000k you will immediately notice better visibility while still using the 35w ballasts.

 

Alright that sounds like a plan then. Of it doesn't work out then I'll go with a 55w ballister
