Default parts to install aftermark radio

hey guys so i finally will be ordering parts for my 2012 scion tc and was wondering if i have all the parts i will be needing to install the Pioneer Avh X4600 Bt

Metra 70-1761 Metra 70-1761 (met-701761) Wiring Harness for Select 1987-2005

Metra 95-8202 Metra 95-8202 (met-958202) Double DIN Installation Kit for Select

i would like to retain the wheel audio control so will the Metra 70-8114 work on the radio? Metra 70-8114 Toyota Steering Wheel Control Wire Harness w/ RCA

The first wiring harness and mounting kit will work. The steering wheel control harness will not work with the pioneer unit. You will need one of these:

No problem. I don't blame you, that's an expensive harness lol

If I'm cutting and splicing a harness, yes. If it is a plug and play unit, then no.

so i pretty much will have to because i read on the guide that says i would need to attach the blue wire from the head unit to the factory harness to turn on the amp. So then i will have to splice those two wires together? or is it the blue "power antenna" from the adapter harness connect to the blue wire on the aftermarket headunit.

Yes, from that write-up would need to splice both blue wires.

When I installed my headunit ( avh-x3500bhs ) i was able to keep my steering wheel controls with axxes aswc-1. I Also ordered the metra 70-8114. so i didnt have to splice any thing into the factory wiring. To have a functional usb, aux port i replaced the stock one with the axxess ax-usb-35ext.
