Questions About Seat
Hello. I'm the owner of a '12 tC - I've had it for maybe 6 years now. About a week or so ago, I was leaning in my seat when the track of the seat broke. The seat rocks back and forth when I brake and it will not slide forward. The track is clearly split into two separate pieces, so I decided it was time to buy a new seat.
Has anyone done this before? My understanding is that it's a simple process of putting in four bolts in the track and plugging in the two connectors. That seems to be the setup of the current seat in my car.
However, I have run into an issue at my local parts store. The current seat they have is from a '13 tC, which looks to be the exact same as mine. Are these interchangeable? My understanding is that most interior components from '11 to '13 are interchangeable. This seat also has an 'immobilizer' or 'mobilizer' (different parts stores use different terms, so one of them is obviously saying it wrong...haha) and I'm not sure if my current seat does. In fact, nobody I've spoken to seems to know what this part is. Will a seat with this part work in my car whether or not my current seat has one?
I appreciate everyone's help. It's a pain driving my car with the seat like it is, so I'm hoping to knock this out soon.

If you haven't gotten it fixed already: as long as the drivers seat in the 2013 has airbags it should plug up, BUT Tc seat fabrics are different for some years, if you mind driving in a mismatched seat, you might want to order a 2012 seat cover.
