Went through the firewall (passenger side... helps to take out the glove box, but optional, down to the corner by the door, under the door sill bezel (there are white clips holding wire bundles, but on the outside of each clip was an extra clip to hold a hefty sized wire), behind the back panel holding the rear speaker and under the back seat (pull up and out on the back seat for removal.

Ended up in the spare tire space.

Can you please post pics of where you ran the sub power wire through the firewall... I am glad to hear that this doesn't require drilling. Hopefully I will have time to tackle this project within the next couple of days or so.

Where are you guys putting the ground. Are you guys using the seat brackets or are you drilling them through the chassis?

Here's my setup, got it done back in february. I was told it took 6 hours or so. The covers are to protect the subs of course when loading groceries or any cargo.

Just wondering if anyone has an extremely loud system in one of these cars yet. I am putting a JL 12W7 in a ported box and a 1000/1 and am curious as to what to expect.

I've got an Alpine PDX-M12 (birthsheet says over 1300w rms) pushing two different subs. One is a shallow mount memphis, and the other is a kicker 10". I'm certain the amp could fry both of the subs without even trying. I'm also running an alpine 4 channel (pdx-f4) and not having any power supply issues. I'm going to build another box with possibly two hard hitting subs, maybe use my Phoenix Ti Subs until I figure out something else. I've got over $3k in the system so far. I can't even imagine what it would have cost to pay someone for all of the work I've done.

I went with a kenwood setup. got my headunit (DNX5120) amp(kac6104D) and 12"Sub (KFC-3013PS).... Built a false floor. Amp on the left side of the box beneathe the floor.. Took about 5-6 hours with breaks. Came out OK for a first atempt at this.

Also went to target today and packed up the truck pretty good so still using it as a truck but I make sure to turn off the subs from my headunit.

I took a few pictures of my sub/amps while I was installing the speakers in the doors today.

These are of the amps, amp rack, and the sub box. The sub is a memphis S Class 10 and the box is about .3 cu ft. I think I need to take the woofer off and stuff the thing with poly to get a little better sound out of it.

I even got a couple of leds installed under the amp rack that highlight the power distribution blocks. It was a good day and the system is sounding phenominal.

Edit: Can't type changed W& to W7

^Brands. Sundown audio, Sound Solutions Audio, Treo Engineering, RE Audio / US Amps, Incriminator Audio, Crossfire, American Bass, Ascendant Audio, Fi Audio, SoundStream, Cadence.Sundown is my fav although pricey. I think there subs are amazing plus very under rated. Now I know some of these my seem underground but I think its better that way cause then a company has more time for the customer and put more into their work.

you need to know the specs on the subwoofers before you can figure out what kind of amp will work...
