That was my thought on the matter. 1400 is way too much for me anyway.

How the sound quality on the whole system. And What's the watts (RMS) on just the sub it self. I like the finish result just not that price.

Me myself I made my own enclosure and brought the Alpine Type R 8" sub 1800 peak 650 rms less than a 1/4 of what you paid. That's a major waste of money for paper speakers.
