Default Subwoofer issue constant hitting.

I have a radio from a 2011 tc and when the sub is plugged in to the RCA's it won't work at all then will start thumping constantly at full power.

But if I have it connected through a high low converter it works just fine without any random hitting.

Does anybody know why or a way I can fix it?

Thanks and sorry if its been covered I couldn't find it.

thats strange, that occasionally happens with a hi to low converter. Im assuming you turned on the rca preout from the settings on the stock radio?

Yes I did, I thought it was strange too but didn't have time to deal with it at the time, the car I bought the radio was totaled maybe something hit the rcas?

I mill go out and play with it some more later tonight after its not 102 outside

ended up pulling it out and adding new wires re grounding and started to work but now when ever I turn the car on or off it hits about 2 seconds after the car is off which it never did before?
