Agent 99 (Retirement)
You're right. Also it would most likely be a lose lose situation with the costs of shipping it too. I should pass on it. Thanks for the consideration though.
Actually MightyP, think I acted on impulse ignore my pm and my request. I think in a year or two I'll be taking the same path as you. Perhaps we'll meet on the subaru side of things though ;P
I've had the same thoughts about an sti also which will most likely be my next car. However I won't be getting rid of my tc once I decide to go that route at least that's where I stand now. I sure hope they don't mess up the design of the 2013. It's funny how so many people go from a tc to an sti or Evo or another factory performance car. Keep us updated is like to see what the new car looks like and what your thoughts are when you get it
wow. sad, sad day...yet happy you are getting a WRX. plus i'm sure 4 doors will be so much better, especially for the little one
anyways...on to the vulturing...
PM me the price on the exhaust. i'm not cross country and if the price is right, i might consider it....Descendant and TRD are my 2 top choices, so since its available, i thought i'd at least ask

Sad to see you go bud, but I totally agree. The Tc needs more guts to be fun, and it is just not affordable to do. I have driven too many 400+h.p. RWD cars to know the Tc will never be as fun due to the FWD. I'll be taking the same road myself sooner or later. I am kinda' leaning towards the 2013 Genesis 2L. Turbo. I have avoided test driving one because I prob. would have to leave with it. RWD + 200ft/lbs. of tq. at 2000 rpms sounds tempting!
Thanks all, and I think I've PM'd everyone who had questions about parts. If I missed you, please let me know.
And to answer speterson82's question, there are a few reasons I want the WRX rather than the BRZ/FR-S. Top 3 reasons are 4-doors, trunk space and AWD. First, I'm sick of having a 2-door car. Doors are too long to open very wide in a parking lot and I have a 3-year old who has to go in the backseat. Second, the trunk space in the tC is actually pretty good with it being a hatchback and I don't want to give that up completely. (I'll actually get more space if I get the 5-door) Third, I want AWD. My wife got rid of her SUV, so I'd like something that will do well in snow/ice while maintaining great handling on the track. Plus, I kinda want to try rallycross racing...
There are other reasons too. One thing I want out of this change is to get a car where I don't have to really work the engine to get the performance I want. I've done all these things to my tC and the end result has been to get 8 mpg less and only slightly better speed. My mod plan for the WRX (haven't decided if I'm going to get a regular WRX or the STI) is pretty simple. Short shifter, exhaust, engine tune, and 2 more sets of wheels/tires (daily, track, snow).
On a separate note, I'm waiting to hear on the 2013 WRX because there are lots of rumors floating around that next year's WRX will actually have a turbocharged version of the 2.0 in the FR-S/BRZ.

OMG... im getting persuade over here to retire my tC2 and get and wrx as well... and then i saw this just now. it made me more want to get a wrx. but, i have to hold my self and wait a little longer. lolz sad to say bye for agent 99, yet grats for getting a wrx!
Picked up the new Subie yesterday. Haven't even had a chance to give her a good wash & wax yet. But here's a picture in our driveway. I think she'll be happy here. As welcoming gifts, bought her a new short shifter and DVD head unit with bluetooth and XM. They should arrive in about a week!

And for those of you who have been asking about the parts... I haven't forgotten you. Just been busy with, well, getting Agent 99 back to stock and playing with the new car. I'll be getting back to you guys in the next week.
