Holy crap, so this is what happens when I leave for 6 months.... Creepy thing is I was wishing I had the cement to go with some lime green wheels. Great minds think alike!

So what happened to the Scion Racing logo on your car? Decide you didn't like it?

It'll likely be back this summer....after I steal another one from work. With all the salt and sand used on the roads up here in winter I didn't want the "SR" to be sandblasted into the paint, so I pealed it off.

Don't worry though, still racing under the contingency this year so the car will go back to the SR soon enough.

...I'd actually like to do something camo with the car to match my helmet...will see...FR-S is screaming my name right now...

If you get the FR-S I am going to be super jelly. Any idea on what a trade in will be worth TC to FR-s?

I was wondering the same. Just want to know how much of a loss it would be

I'm a bad example as I'll buy a demo from work here. But I think if well cared for, there are dealers out there that will jump to get a used, lower price tC on their lot. What you'd get for trade though is unknown to me.

Short story, but I didn't do as well as I'd hoped. Two reasons: A. I shouldn't have gone out the night before (doh!) and B. The sways will take some getting used to!

but the biggest thing is the sways are definitely noticeable! The car has never before been so easy to push past its limit. Now, a quick couple of flicks and the car wants to throw itself right around. Saved it a few times, but ate a cone or two as a result...in the side of the car!

So, for now, here are some pics until I get the videos edited. I have a good one showing the work of the suspension for those of you considering sways/springs from TRD.

Can you elaborate about the paragraph in bold. I am getting sways very soon and I am wondering how they are going to change the characteristics of the car. Obviously it will handle better but is it more likely to break loose? I guess I just want an explanation of how they change the car besides handling?

Thanks

BTW: Your car is awesome. I really love the wheels.

Default New Update! More Autox!

Been a long time since I've updated this thread, but better late than never!

First autocross of the season and not bad considering the wet weather and well, me getting back into the swing of things again...

One of my fastest runs:

Finished 4th in class (of 6 ) but 39th overall out of 98 cars. Hard to place better in a class littered with STI's on R1R's or RS3's! But results here:
http://solo2.casc.on.ca/events/2012results.php

I'll try to get another video up tomorrow and some photos soon after.

Stay tuned for more coming soon (and perhaps at the end of this week even)!

Damm Bro!!! your TC looks great!!!! and this is a great help to me

Well im thinking on H&R Sport springs but i see a great feedback from you for the TRD Springs.

BTW do you have to roll your fenders when you intall the Enkei RPF1 wheels??

I thinking to use my STI Enkei NT03+M 18x9.5+27 wheels later ;)

He sold the TC and i think bought an FRS. And also i do not believe that he rolled the fenders. i Think they were almost a perfect fit. they just cleared the caliper

^This.

Car has been sold to "gleb_v" who posted just above. He took it with all the goodies except the wheels, so expect to see some posts about it in the future!

And yes, I have an FR-S now. I'll start a new thread here soon when the rest of my goodies arrive. Stay tuned and thanks too all for the support in this thread over the years! Glad I could help and can continue to!

Well thanks for bumping your thread - I'm pretty sure I just decided what to do with the car.

I bought the TC2 last week simply with commuting in mind but it's proving to be a fun car to drive... so it may replace my track habit that hasn't been fed since I moved to the PNW and sold my motorcycle.

Sways and BBK sound fun
