Very cool! Love the black wheels on the white car. That really is crazy close on the clearance, but I'm glad they fit. Did you happen to weigh the complete wheels? So we can see actual numbers for stock and the upgraded wheels?

Also have to say, I'm now with the others on the rear brakes. Especially with the new wheels, the red on the front brakes really pop. I think I'd at least paint the rears to match.

I love watching your and WelleselyScion's builds. They're so different but show how you can take the tC in various directions. Yours being more performance upgrades and his looking like a show car. And the rest of us looking on, drooling.

Thanks guys for the comments. I find myself wandering into the garage every so often to stare at them. It's pretty menacing looking in person! Too bad they have to come off today because A. we have more snow and B. I only have 2 mounted and balanced as thats all that fits in the car!

I will be painting the rears, but probably not on this car just because I have it up for lease takeover right now. May get a 2012 or a Release Series. All of the parts will carry over though. Anyone in Toronto interested can PM me!

Thanks for the comments on the builds. I'm just trying to see how much can be extracted from one of these as far as its ability to turn. And more so, I'm trying to do it with things that the average consumer could buy. So if your looking to build a lapping toy that you can still daily drive, this would be it...

Oh, and MightyP, the weights are in:

Stock: 51lbs (with Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 225/45R18 )
Enkei: 45.5lbs

That's a 5.5lb weight savings per corner and a measured 10.5" of contact patch.

 

Sweet... That's the rough equivalent of 300-500 lbs of vehicle weight reduction! You realize, just based on weight numbers, you should be able to drop 1/2 - 1 sec from your 0-60 time?

Yes it did. Each kit includes:

- (2) Calipers
- (2) Directional Rotors
- Front Stainless Steel Braided/Clear Coated Brake Lines
- All required hardware

I say do it. They are killer. Not just for the looks, but they will put through some serious abuse if you plan on lapping with the car.

Really, they are amazing looking pieces. Nice and glossy and fit great!

Tools required:

- 10mm deep socket and 1/4" drive ratchet (for engine cover)
- Small slotted screwdriver (for shroud)

Both took me about 5-10min to install.

If your looking for some engine dress up parts, I highly recommend these! Now all I need is an intake to pretty up this engine bay some more! Well that and to give it a bath!

Do you know of any plans for the TRD wheels to be availiable in different widths? I saw them for the first time in person the other day in the parts department, and i must say they were looking really nice... They are just so skinny D:

They dont come with engine covers O:... And if canada got engine covers, i would be very jealous :l
