Default CEL in the Rain

Not sure where this goes, but has anyone had an CEL problems in the rain?
I haven't been able to much regarding this, but this is the 3rd time that my CEL has come on in my car. Every single time it has been raining. My wife is currently in my car, so I can't check the code its throwing now.

Last time it is P0606 (PCM/ECM issue).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

never had issues in rain or puddles yet.
Do you have a cold air intake installed? that's in case you are worried about water getting through in rain.

Otherwise just take it in for warranty and say your computer is throwing you a code on your new car.
This should not be happening.

Mine is the 2011 so my warranty has been up for a while (basic 2 year/25,000 miles).
I have the K&N intake, which is basically ram air. Anyway, I checked the code when she got home and it was P0607. Different code, but still the PCM/ECM. After I checked the code, I started the car up and the CEL went off on its own before I had a chance to clear it.

Drove it, and it feels great. Completely mind boggling. Maybe my car just has a weird tick when it rains...

how many miles are on the car right now?
Your basic warranty is 3 years or 36,000 and you should be covered for that CEL problem.

Have you checked for moisture near the ECM?

My car has 39000 miles on it, so the dealer is a no go.

I didn't get to check for moisture since ny wife had my car all day, but next time it rains I am ripping my car apart and checking.

I might just put dilectric grease on every electrical connection.

Could be something very simple getting some moisture for some reason.

Thats what I am thinking too. Since this is the third time this has happened and my car hasn't gone into limp mode, I don't think its serious. It is supposed to rain here all weekend, so when it happens again (I'm sure it will) I will take my car somewhere dry to pinpoint where is collecting. I'd hate to for something small now cause a short somewhere later.

Bama boy, listen, don't be so quick to shoot down the dealer bro. Your warranty time line doesn't mean sh.t. All that matters is what the dealer is will to do. With a simple issue like this and after sweet talking with the service manager a bit, they'll for sure check this out and get it fixed for you "under warranty". You're only 3,000 miles over. And just tell him what he wants to hear; "You know I always take my car here for all my service needs, and I always will, yada yada yada." Worth a shot. They have the tools and insight to get it resolved, and if they don't get it resolved, they are obligated to keep jacking with it until it does.

But yeah, moisture is getting somewhere. Check your filter for proper seating, and then disconnect the tube after the airbox and check for moisture in there.

You know what. Just looked into the warranty stuff. I am not covered by the basic warranty, but I have another 20,000 miles before my powertrain warranty is up.
So, I should have looked at that before I just decided to give up.

Going to make an appointment soon. Hopefully they don't gripe about my bolt-ons and piggy back, but the problem started before I started adding anything...

Hmm... yeah, just don't say anything... maybe they'll "overlook" it.

Glad that you have some warranty left!

Thanks, you and me both. Good thing I checked over the warranty information book. Honestly, who reads that thing? Glad I did though.

Haha... I do [raises hand] Haha.

I was freaking out a few weeks after I got my tC and I got my Injen Intake and Agency Exhaust. I disconnected the battery and installed them, and then a few minutes after driving, I went to use my windows and they didn't work!!! I was like, WHAT THE FVCK!!! So I immediately opened my warranty information and saw that indeed this portion was covered! And then right after that, I came on here and searched for the windows not working, and found it was because I disconnected my battery so I had to reset them using the the window controls. Hahah. But that was the only time. So still never had to use it.
