I have a reputable shop in my area can make my Scion tC to a convertible.

I might not be interested in selling it, just want to see if I will be "laughed by the Scion community" or being hailed as a hero.

i do not think it looks good at all. hatchback into convertible does not tend to look good. give me an example of a hatch that was actually given in convertible option?

ok i'll have to agree with that one, they do look nice as a roadster type of convertible, but i still don't like their longer butts (lol). I'd prefer a coupe Z, that's just me.
Any other hatches that were made into convertibles?
do people think of 350/370Zs as more of a sports car or a hatchback? i think it's the former, although you happen to be absolutely right.

it's not that hard to believe you forgot about them because of just that...they are thought of as sports cars. when you think hatchback, usually there is a certain stigma that goes along with it. that stigma wouldn't be associated with a car like the Z

 

Looks like a Solara from the side a little. I have a Miata and the first thing I did was get a hard top, but to each is his own.

 

Solara convertible is another car whose long butt I hate lol.
