Default few pics and randomness bout new tc

Hey everyone, new to forums so "hello".
Just picked up the wifes super white tc, so far I am super happy with this car, we used to have a 05 tC that was totaled in an accident so im pretty familiar with the car. prior to the 2011 we had an 07 GLI that was pretty damn cool, but was also in an accident, so it had to go.

First thing I will sayabout the new tC is that in no way do pictures online do it any justice, It is really sharp in person, and I originally thought that the interior was just horrible! Once agian though seeing it in person and sitting in the drivers seat, I really like it, even better than the old model. sure its a little chincy but its not a 3series so no need to bash it too much. I did have the dealer install leather which looks great, cant believe its not a factory option!! Only thing Im hating is the one back up light, a car with 80 miles on it should'nt look as if something is already broke. I plan on getting another plug and wiring up a light this week. anywho, heres some pics.

Looks good. Be very careful with dealer installed leather. The side airbag is located in the seat and from testing experience, there are a lot of factors that could cause issues with deployment.

Besides that, good choice on the colour!

Welcome. Just got a new one myself. Try not to wreck this one! Leather looks great. I'm considering adding another backup light myself, post something with pictures when you do it.

Check out my thread here "out of the mouth of babes". It concerns the light, true story and it might make you laugh.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! And for the compliments. The leather was installed by a third party company that the dealer works with, it was just over a grand, but well worth it! Those big thick seats just look right wrapped in cow.
The last two cars met thier demise due to the fact that my area is littered with both deer, and dumbass tourists!
But I will post up some pics when I get to the light.

On a side note, anyone else notice the paddle shifters pictured in the owners manual? My GLI had em, though they were cool...I really only used them when showing off to friends...or when making a turn and accidently downshifting like a freak.

How much was it for them to put leather seats? Did they custom make them there?

total cost was around $1100.00
I'm not really sure how they came to be. I would assume that they were a kit? but are kits even available for the 2011 yet? I have no idea. took like four days, so perhaps they were custom made. all I know is it looks awesome, and is comfy as all get out, and smells great. that pic really doesn't show the whole story. Only regret, I wish i would have requested white stitching.
