I was driving home today and there was a loud noise. Something hit the glass panel above my windshield and below my sunroof, and totally destroyed it.

I would rather not have to pay my $1000 deductible unless I have to. Has anyone else had this happen before?
Does anyone even know the part number to just get the glass?
Does anyone know the official name for this part? It's technically not part of the sunroof, moon roof or windshield.
I called a dealership and they just quoted me the price of the entire moon roof assembly.
