Default issues with short shifter?

So I have the twm and supertek short shifters installed for about a year or more, then yesterday when shifting to second, it felt like I gained back half my throw and I could barely get my shifter to pop into place. I took apart the cen ter consOle and everything is in place, but there is a lot of play (frent to back) in neutral and the throw still feels like I am back to one short shifter. Everything looks fine. Anyone have any issue like this?

What was it specifically? The actual shifter lever, or a bushing or something?

It was the extension piece that extends the cable about 2 inches. It wraps around the counterweight and one side broke off so it would move about 90 degrees. This caused all the play. I zip tied it for now and it's almost back to 100%. I've emailed supertek but it looks like the part is no longer available on their website (perhaps this is the reason).

I think the supertek shifter is exclusive to trdsparks website now. May be why it's not on their site.

I have a TRD (Under the hood) and TWM (in the console). I find that the gears are a bit to sharp with both short shifters. Especially in cold weather. I like the feeling of just having the TWM Installed. I may take out the TRD part for the winter and put it back on next summer when things feel a little looser.

I havn't drivin a race car but I think this is what the harsh shifting must feel like.
