are you still running eibach sportlines and did you install them on your own or have someone do it

 

yes he still has them on. He installed them with his friends.
I have them too and installed them with my friend.
If you have 2 ppl and everything goes smoothly(which never does) then its 1 hour per front and 30min per rear
so 3 hours total + jacking/removing the cowl

try clay bar to see if any of it is just dirt
and then since the clay bar will clean it up, go get touch up paint from the dealership and cover up the rest of it

....either that or just get a lip kit to cover it up

haha yeahhh i could...but i only like the 5 axis one, which is way too expensive for what you get. the others out there just look too gaudy imo

 

depends on how pro you want it

if u want it so that from a far you can't tell and only up close...clean it up and cover it with touch up paint. touch up paint is like $8-12? clay bar set is like $20? and u can use the clay bar for many things over and over...think of it as an investment. (it comes with 2 clay bars, detailer, and microfiber cloth...and i've only used half of 1 bar so far)

IF you want it looking brand new...u take it to the shop and they will probably repaint the whole bumper (paint that one side only wouldn't work and look weird as it might not be 100% same shade as the rest...because of all the day light exposure and other stuff the bumper has been through)

no the clay bar is to remove any of the fine dirt or grime that is on the bumper from the scratch...u wouldn't want to paint over dirty. also you might also find that some of the "rash" might be just dirt that is really embedded in the bumper

clay bar is just a super cleaner...think the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for cars. its usually used to detailing, but i've found that when i use it on my car on what i think are scratches...it gets it out.

after u do a quick clean, do clay bar (follow the instructions), then make sure its dry and paint with the touch up paint evenly. i suggest around 2 or 3 coats, i believe 15 mins or so in between is good. remember when you brush (unless u somehow can find a spray version) brush in the same direction and try to keep it even. after all that next time to clean the car wax it and take special attention to that area. the wax should help any uneven areas left from the rash and/or paint and also give it that gloss back...

of course, take it easy since u'll be working with it up close. u will see all the imperfections, but just remember it will look fine from afar

....the best way to know its good, once ur all done. take a picture of it from a far...not focusing on the lip. if the picture looks good then u should be good. a lot of times when im touching things up i get catch up in it not being perfect because i'm so focused on it

 

ehh clay bar won't help.. wet sand it before you apply the paint.
