Came packaged with plenty of TLC by ZeroEyeQueue. Thanks

Now I need to wait for my exhaust hanger removal pliers to come in so I can give this a try. I hope they work with those crazy TS hangers!

so those DDM hid kits are ridiculously cheap and i love the idea of going to a 55w bulb as i havent loved my 35w lately.

1)Do you think they are noticeably brighter than a 35w kit (if youve used one before)?
2)How accurate are the colors? I only ask because if i go with a 3000k i want it to be a nice looking yellow and not an off color

I absolutely love my 55's man. But just note that its the ballast that determines the wattage and not the bulb.

I just installed 35w 4500k in my fogs this morning. My car was parked facing direct sunlight after the install so I couldn't make a good comparison. But once I get out of work tonight ill be able to do a full comparison and answer both your questions!

So I finally got off work and was able to see the fogs at night. I have to say, I'm slightly disappointed in the way the color turned out. The 35w 4500k's have almost identical color to my 55w 6000k's. They are ever-so-slightly whiter, but you have to really examine to see a difference. So...

1) They aren't noticeably brighter than the 35's. I went with 55 mainly for color output anyway. 55w 6000k isn't nearly as blue as its 35w counterpart.

2) My 55w 6000k setup was exactly what I was expecting and I considered it to be very accurate. The 35w 4500k in my fogs really look closer to 5500 to me. I was hoping to get that nice 4300k white you see in Bimmers, but instead got a more crystal white like you see in Acuras. I have no clue how their 3000k would turn out though.

All-in-all, their ballasts seem pretty solid and offer consistent output. If you aren't comfortable with their bulbs' color output you could always get a set of quality bulbs from TRS.

By the way, I am running both pairs of HIDs with no relay harness. They both fire up fine together when I flick on the headlights.

I've considered them. I think I may order them off TRDSparks for S&G's.

90% of the time, I didn't have any rubbing. Most of the rubbing I DID get came from the front with the 15's. When I pitched the car into a corner hard the outside tire would rub. Also when hitting large dips on back roads or rough train tracks, the fronts would rub. The 20's in the rears would pretty much only rub when going too fast over speed bumps. I'm sure that is a result of their greater camber than the fronts though. The fronts seem to be much closer to 0 than the rear.

Your car looks pretty good. You mentioned you took the spacers off cause you didn't like the way the car felt? If so how? I was thinking of getting some to flush the wheels with the body. Also since you took your Tsudo off and are replacing with TRD does this mean you are looking to offload that Tsudo?

Haha I feel the exact same about my Crimson. Did you pull the trigger and get them? I haven't seen that on your thread...

Thanks a lot mayne. Regarding taking the spacers off, I just felt on edge I guess. I hated the thought of having my wheels connected to something that WASN'T my hubs. Also, they screw up your suspension geometry since they are placing a new load on a part of the suspension that wasn't designed to take that load (one of the engineers here could better explain). I also just felt like the cornering wasn't as stable or tight, but that could have been a result of staggering on a FWD car lol. All-in-all, it just didn't feel right or seem right. Yes, the car looked pretty nice with the wheels flusher, but it was too subtle to be worth everything else for me.

The Tsudo went quick after posting about my troubles with the Law. I kinda cheated by not having to use the classifieds section lol. You'll be seeing it on Cleopatra soon.

Thanks for the info, don't think I'll be getting those spacers after all. I want all the performance I can get. Don't want to sacrifice that for looks. ALL GO SOME SHOW! Guess I'll have to buy a new Tsudo. I didn't think it would last, didn't hurt to try though.

i want to just throw in my 2 cents on the whole 55w vs 35w hids
idk about ddm's products so i cant compare however i have had both 35w and 55w setups from HIDExtra and my 55w are soooo much brighter... with the 35w set i could barely see them at night and couldnt see at all if it was raining but the 55w i can see them on signs about 1/2-1 mile out (on a straight away with no other cars around) and at night they work soo much better again i have had 8000k in both and the 55w seemed to be more true to the advertised color then the 35w

but thats just my 2 cents

Hey Steve, if you don't mind me asking, how ugh did you pay for the TRD exhaust? I'm interested in one, but not sure how much I should pay. I know that new is just outrageous.

I paid ZeroEyeQueue (Alex) 300 plus shipping, which was a reasonable price. You can see in the pic that the exhaust is in pretty nice condition. In person, it definitely doesn't disappoint.

I agree the 550 on TRDSparks is definitely high for something that looks so simple. But I have to admit, it feels like a quality piece of metal...and isn't very heavy either.

Your best bet is definitely to wait and find one used.
