Most likely the tC will be sold only thought the Optomized Scion channel like the xB is... The clear bodies probably wont be released without the kit, at least for a little while.

FR-S, it will be most likely during the release of the car in Spring.

umm.. what else?

These are only my guesses.. btw

After seeing the interior shots of the fr-s I was kind of disappointed. It is still nice though not saying it isn't. I was only disappointed because I saw the interior shots of the toyota ft-86 version and i thought their center console was really nice with the electronic climate controls and all. Then again that should've been expected we weren't getting the same thing haha

This looks like something that allows any water you CAI takes in, to flow back out, is that correct? If so, how does it prevent hot engine bay air from entering?

rather than letting it flow out, pretty sure it's basically an alternate source of intake in case the main filter becomes submerged somehow.

Yea it's called an Air Bypass Valve. They say it elimates the chance of sucking in water and hydrolock. How it's supposed to work is when your intake sucks in water, it gets caught along the sides of the bypass valve as it passes through. Then when you idle or coast or whatever it runs back out. Air cant really flow through it, the foam is pretty dense. Most of them have a cylinder on the inside as well that's pretty dense too, but this AEM one looks as if it just has the outer foam layer.

I have a hard time seeing how an intake can suck in any water unless you pretty much drive it into a lake, but i've heard horror stories about people going through a puddle and getting hydro-lock. But then again, your car should stall and shut off before you get to the hydro-lock point. Reguardless it's a pain in the butt.

I'm gonna get a bypass valve when I get my intake next week just for good measure. Better to have one and be safe then not have one and screw something up! Plus, it's only like $50-$60
