Default New here. trading in 2006 tC for 2011 tC!

Hey guys and gals. I'm new to the forum. I just traded in my 2006 scion tC for a brand new one! It's white and it's the six speed manual. I was wondering about adding foglights to it. I don't want to pay the dealership to do it cuz it's probably an easy thing to do. Where can I buy them and do the install myself of have my fiance do it? The new one won't be here till monday and they are putting auto start in it so I probablly won't have it until Tuesday. I'll get some pics up of the new one when it gets here but for now here are some pics of the old one. I'm gonna miss her

it looks like it should be. You just put the button next to the mirror controls. One of the tabs pops out and in goes the button!

Welcome to the forums. Fog lights are a nice addition...

And I noticed you have figure grills on your 06... They have them for the 2011 now too...

Good stuff! Looking forward to seeing how hard you think the install is. Have you installed fogs before?

While you are in there installing your fog lights, get a 3-foot length of 20-gauge wire and do this mod to be able to turn on your fog lights at any you’re your parking lights are on, otherwise you can only turn on your fogs if your headlights are on! https://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202057
This would be a great time to get a 4300K HID H11 kit to replace the OEM bulbs. When you get the fog light kit, they are defaulted all the way down, so you will have to adjust them.

No, but my fiance built his motor up and put a turbo on his car so he should be able to figure it out.

Thanks for the heads up and the link. I think I want to go with the 5000K or 6000K HID's. Are the fog lights H11 as well as the headlights?

Yes, both the lows and the fogs are H11 and highs are HB3/9005.

For driving light I would agree with you for 5000K, but for fogs, yellow is the best…it enhances the contrast. I think 3000K would be even better.

Very nice! My husband and I are in town this weekend for a wedding and saw your old car sitting at the dealer. We went to kill sometime and drive the black auto they have. We own a cement 6 spd manual. Enjoy it!
