New Scion TC Release 8.0 Owner
Hey there , Drea here ... new to the forum . just got a 2013 Scion TC 8.0 sunday and love this car proudly own #317 . Any Suggestions to any mods ? opinions welcome.
Just about any kit available online now days is made in China. Some offer life time warranty, some don't. I've always used DDMtuning for my HID's but recently bought a random kit on Amazon and has been fine so far.
How much do you owe on the car? Why not get a few payments under your belt. I cant tell you the amount of people on here that end up selling their car upside down, owing more money than the car is worth, and have a bunch of mods.
That said, turbo it. Anything else and your wasting money. You already have a body kit, exhaust, rims, springs, and other bits. Enjoy the car for what it is, unless you want to make more power.
If you owe more than $10k on the car, make some payments on it before you mod it.

We are just looking for options and ideas on the mods. Plus the differances between the different years...
With HIDs, running something closer to 3k will give you the best visibility. For example, running 3k will give you great visibility in the rain and in the fog. However, compared to running 10k, the 10k will look like ____. I used to do some custom headlight work for some of the members of a forum I was apart of, and most of them ran anywhere from 4300-600k. 1 out of 15 would get 8k. I think the ideal temperature to run in your headlights would be 4300k (a white-ish yellow, about the color of the OEM hids), but if you want something with color and visibility, I would recommend 6k. 3k is ideal for the fogs, unless you don't want to use them and just want them for flash. I would also look into theretrofitsource.com for some hids. However, they are a bit expensive, but are top of the line stuff, some oem but the rest of it is top of the line. Maybe also get one of their upgraded wiring kits, so that you don't over kill the factory wiring harness.
Oh btw, I have #216 lol
