Default New toys

2 new additions to the family.

2014 Civic Si coupe. Got the Si for $21,999 brand new.
2014 Corolla S Plus. Got the Corolla Preowned Certified with 6100 miles for $17k and 100k mile warranty.

And yes I know, I have a Honda now
It's my 3rd. Had an 08 Si and 04 S2000 before.

Very cool man. Why the two new rides though? I bet that Si is a fun to whip around!

You got pics of your 08? FG2 or FA5?

Sure. Let me dig up some old pics!

08 Civic Si mods were catback exhaust and Skunk2 springs.
04 S2000 was stock.

The Corolla is the wife's car. She works from home and rarely goes anywhere Mon-Fri so it's cheap to have around. I also use the Corolla to commute to work most of the time since it gets over 40mpg on my highway commute.

The Si is a lot of fun. I really missed my 08 Si. Even more so than the S2000 somehow. I had fun in my 2013 tC. But between the constant transmission issues and a front end noise they could never fix or figure out, I got tired of arguing with dealerships and decided to just get rid of it.

The tC only had 24,000 miles and felt like it had a lot more wear than my 08 Si and it had 80,000 miles. For the 22k I spent on the brand new SI with summer tires, it's just night and day overall compared to the tC.
