And no. Machining your cams isn't going to be beneficial. anyways despite your reason. Your valves will not open as far as they need to, as well as timing will be off. It'll be a mess of problems. But regardless, why are you asking?

I emailed Brian crower regarding cams for the 2011 tc but they said there's wasn't a high enough demand so they told me that they can regrind my cams to stage one cams so that why I was asking if it will be worth it

Yeah, they don't make cams for the tC2 yet. But yeah, I see what he's saying now. I mean, essentially it works and a lot of people do it. It will increase lift for you because what they are going to do it is essentially leave the lobe the way it is and not remove or add any material, but machine down the circle/a.ss part making it smaller. This will create a similar effect of upgraded cams. I wouldn't do it though. Like I said, obviously they are comfortable with doing it, but I think your stock cams were meant to be stock cams, and machining them to create an effect just wouldn't sit right with me. Otherwise, yeah it'll work, but you know cams don't really create that much power for what you are trying to do right? That would be a lot of work and money for just about no reward.

But yeah, I thought you were talking about like resurfacing your cams or something because you have uneven wear or the lobes were pitting or something. In which case, no, you can't be machining those, they'll be way too small.

Still don't see how it would possibly do anything. How could it b possible open the valve more unless either a) the lobe was bigger or b) they somehow redid the cam and lowered it so that the low point was like stock but the high point was higher than stock. Otherwise all you could do is change the timing slightly. I don't even think you could make it so the valves were open longer or anything.

How is there demand for first gen butt not 2nd Gen. I'd do this right away if they existed. A good aftermarket cam + i/h/e + fic + a good tune should easily get well over 200whp.

When you grind the base circle to be smaller, the remaining lobe because bigger for what the lifter sees. It's a real thing. Don't over think it.

Also, about demand, people were doing big and great things with the 2AZ from the get go. The tC2 is far from a track car and no one has bothered to make it into a monster yet unlike the many many, even corporate commercial tC1's. The tC2 may or may not ever come around to be what the tC1 is/was. Doesn't surprise me that Crower doesn't make cams for it.
