Default Two Questions

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum but not to scion. My wife has a '09 xb and last month I picked up the '10 tc (matallic grey auto) My wife and I love the scions we have but I have two questions. First, has anyone been annoyed or noticed that the headlights seem like they are cut off or pointing low? When I'm driving at night it is real noticeable if I'm driving with trees on the side of the road or driving past a sign. Is this typical. Would an HID conversion help or just adjusting the lights to aim higher. Also, I was trying to turn off the automatic unlock feature when the car is put into park. I followed the manual but it did not work. Anyone else have this problem? Like I said all in all these are great cars for the price and am happy overall. Any info would be great.

The head lights are projectors. They have a cut off line to better direct light. Hid's will help but aiming them a little higher wouldn't hurt. I would ask the guys in the 1gen section since you don't have a 2gen and this is the 2gen section lol. Good luck with your issues though!

Lol for future reference 2011 cars come out in 2010 and make sure you check your owners manual cuz I had a customer telling me they had an 09 corolla when it was a ten and we ordered new brakes for them and they wouldn't fit. And a 10 to an 11 is a whole new generation so parts are wayyyyy different. Just a friendly suggestion . And your bulb type is H11 when you buy HIDs

Thanks for the info. What type of improvement could I expect with the HID? I know that they are brighter but will it improve the amount of light cast? Will it cure the light cut-off problem that I am having now? Whats the price range that I could expect?

The cut off should remain the same. I think a user has supplied pics of the cut off line after he installed an HID kit in one of these forums. As for the prices, they will range. A trusted site that I have been recommended to from multiple users is HIDextra.com. Also, check in the sponsored sells section under the classifieds tab.

Light casted technically would stay similar because of the projector but it makes a world of difference still. ask the dealer to re angle your lights because they are too low and they will. Do both and problem solved
