Default Warranties

Getting a tc2 soon, and have been trying to plan what all mods I'm going to do right away etc etc. I haven't really ever messed around with new cars, so I was wondering exactly what mods will void warranties, and which ones are totally okay with doing. Any help would be appreciated!

Here's something for you to read.

Basically, if the dealership can prove that the aftermarket part caused the problem, they aren't obligated to repair anything under warranty.

Okay, so basically it's an install at your own risk kind of thing? Sounds good to me, thanks for the info.

This is from TRD Sparks website. Aftermarket parts does not void your warranty.

Make sure you read everything on your warranty paperwork. Even though the headers of the TRDSparks page says it won't void your warranty, it also says (emphasis mine):

"unless the warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle’s warranty or if it can be proven that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure."

If you get into some legal issues with the dealership, and they want to prove the part you installed caused the issue, then you're out of luck.
