Default Weather damage and rust issues RS 8.0

Hello all hopefully I can get some information on how to treat this problem. You see I have some really bad weathering damage on the passenger side. Not sure if there is a way to fix the damage that has been done or if I'll need a completely new part...!

First 2 are the passenger side with damage, last one is the drivers side without damage.
Thanks for any ideas or input!

A couple of Approaches.

1. D-I-Y: Use Rust Remover and steel wool to get rid of the rust. Depending on your skills. Sand, Prep, Prime, Paint and Clear Coat the damaged area.
2. Have the Pros do it and get several estimates from body shops.

After you are done, I would Suggest you look into getting a set of Side Widow Deflectors.
There are 2 types: Inside Channel and Outside Channel.

My RS9 has the Inside Channel by WeatherTech. I like the Quality and are Made in Germany and do not require Exterior Tape.
But, they do not protect the Area where you show damage.

Now the picture of the RS8 shows a Aftermarket Outside Channel Side Window Deflectors
They use either double stick tape or clips. They do offer protection on the Area where you show the problem.
You can find them on the Web.

Hope this helps,

After a trip to the dealership they tell me that there should be blackout tape where the fading/damage is. They assume the door has been taken apart and repainted. Of course this wasn't I the damage reports and was done under the table because there is no info on the Carfax and it was a lease before I got it.

Waiting to hear back from the dealer if they will cover cost since it was sold this way and had gone unnoticed.
