Default What a great road car

Driving from Cali to FL. This thing is terrific - it lives for open highway, comfortable, great A/C, decent mileage. Only downside has been that it's a bit jarring on rough road (looking at you AZ). Otherwise, f'n fantastic. I stand by my statement that this is a budget-priced Accord Coupe.

Yes, this car drives very nicely. My AZ trips are really smooth and there is always power. Going up the mountain when you first cross into AZ is shiftless.. I noticed that at 70 MPH I got about 30 MPG ( had my grandma in the car so didn't want to speed ), and at 80-90 MPH I got about 23 MPG ( coming back with out grandma )... I used the ODO ( selection that displays average MPG ) both ways.. Is traveling 20 MPH faster for a loss of 7 MPG worth it?? I say no bc I had to feel up on my way back to get home, while on my way to AZ I made it on the same tank.. with fuel to spare!..

I5 in LA is much nicer than I40 on AZ... Unless you mean Louisiana... In which case... Yeah, I've yet to drive American roads as horrid as Louisiana pavement.

+1....

Honestly, I bought this car as a daily driver to complement my weekend car. After 1 week, it has totally changed my commute. I actually enjoy driving to work in the morning because the tC is a flat-out fun car to drive.

Prior to this I had a 2000 Jeep that i drove everyday. It was a super reliable vehicle, but it had a ton of miles and it was beat. It was a "station car" in every sense of the term. I didn't really like to drive it anywhere except places I refused to drive my vette.

By contrast, I've been really enthused about driving my new tC. it rides great, it's athletic enough for a front-driver, the stereo is excellent and it's REALLY nice not putting $80 worth of gas in it a week.

Dad and I have done about 700 miles/day split between us. It's been quite surprising just how comfortable the car has been, for 2100 total in 3 days (and more to go tomorrow). No fatigue, no discomfort... the memory foam on the Clazzios makes it even better.
