@springs
i'm on stock height because i'd rather have coilovers. its more expensive but better and worth the investment. aftermarket springs with a stock shocks will eventually blow because they are are not set for each other...HOWEVER...with a brand new car (brand new shocks) this wont happen for a LONG LONG time...but it will eventually. Coilovers won't do that since it will replace the whole setup. also being able to adjust the ride height is a major plus.

all in all...the sportlines have to be my favorite springs IF i were to go that route.

@intake
...i'm assuming the real life one you saw was mine LOL. if so...it was not one tube at all. if u recall i installed a bypass valve right in the middle of the tube. anyways...any CAI or SRI is going to be mainly for looks/sound. there really is no and never will be any HP gain from these. the way new cars (like 90's and up) are designed, the ECU is configured to work with the stock (air box) intake and there really isn't a way around tricking the whole computer system of the car. so an intake is a nice, inexpensive mod to have...but don't expect too much on the performance side. oh and one plus with a CAI or SRI is that the filter is lifetime. no more replacements like the air box, just make sure u clean it (there is a kit for that) every so often.

yes. however just like Justin said LONG LONG time.

it all depends on the quality of shocks, style of driving and amount of salt in the area...

generally not many shocks last longer than 150k miles, on some cars its only 100k.

terrible estimate, just to show relativity: stock 150k; with TRD they would last 140K miles and with Sportline 125k miles....

Nobody has had the car long enough to find out whether they last 60k, 80k, 100k, or more miles but i guess u could search tC1 section

also using after market sway bars decreases the life of shocks a bit because all the imperfections of the road that gets picked up by either tire will be transmitted to the other side

bottom line: nothing to worry about...just general wear

Unless you have cut springs, then premature shock wear is nothing to worry about with aftermarket springs. If they do go out prematurely, it won't be by that much, and they're no too horrible to replace

I ran TRD springs and front strut bar on my 2005 tC and had to change my stock struts out at approximately 60,000-70,000 miles after I installed the springs and front strut bar. I only needed to change them once and I recently traded in the car in at 165,000 miles. Don't base anything off my information though that was just my experience.

like you said, possibly NO ONE has gotten that far with the tc2 yet. But with such high numbers for mileage before it wears, it sounds like these brands are reliable enough for a long period of time. Again, it depends on individual driving style. Personally, Im just a daily driver, nothing too hardcore. I just dont know if I wanna put that much money into coils unless Im looking for something out of it. Approximately how much is it to replace stock shocks? Never thought about that.

Yea i think i saw your intake during the Longo meet, but Ive seen some around too. to me, it just looks like a long tube but probably because i didnt focus on it, rather than the whole engine itself. And for coils, I just dont know if this is what I want as a daily driver. Besides, the way im seeing it, itll most likely be the same as springs. who knows.
