Wiper Noise
I was hoping that I could get some thoughts on what this noise may be. The car is a 2012 tC with 2400 miles. The wipers have been making a loud knocking noise since I took delivery; here are the particulars:
Noise seems to emanate from the top left portion of the dash, just below the reg and inspection stickers, inside the cabin.
The noise is only evident when the wipers are on and the car is in motion. It appears to make the sound especially at low speeds, using the intermittent function, but has also done so at higher speed and faster wiping as well; it does not make the sound with every pass.
I took it to the dealer who naturally said they could not replicate the issue at first. I insisted on riding with the tech and during the drive he noticed the noise and explained that it may be a relay, but without a TSB they didn't want to open the dash to inspect. The tech also said "maybe the noise is normal". Dismissing that last ridiculous comment he made, what do you guys think it may be? Here is a short video: http://youtu.be/EoZmUKRlPzs
Thanks for helping out a new Scion owner.

Well if it's coming from your wipers than their is no need to tear the dash apart because it's on the outside. I think you should go back to the dealer and talk with a manger there!! I had a problem with mine and they didn't want to fix it so I Told them that I wanted to talk to the manger and guess what mine car is fixed now!! Don't let them tell you no, it's a new car and they should fix it
it really sounds like it is inside the cabin. regardless, I'm going back!
what problem did u have?
