Hello everyone I'm new to the forum. I have a 2011 tC with a six speed manual trans and my Passenger Side Inner CV Joint is starting to go out. The car shakes under acceleration only and the joint is a little loose in the the cup that it sits in. So I've been looking into a replacement and if I were to get it new the
only option I found was through Toyota and they want like $500. So I've been looking into getting a used one and on eBay the tC2 axles for a manual trans seem to be hard to come by and I would still be out of pocket around $200. So I just so happened to glance at a few pictures of the tC1 axles and the are
priced way cheaper and they look very similar to the tC2s.

Now does anyone know if these are interchangeable?

I'm going to say with confidence, absolutely not. If you ever want to know if a part is interchangeable, look up the OEM part number and see if they match each generation.

 

Well while I'm in the market for one does anyone know of any aftermarket axles that are available for the tC2?

I've searched but haven't been able to find anything.

Just get replacement axles from AutoZone, they have a lifetime warranty.

 

OK so the website is definitely cheaper but $400 is still a bit pricey. And I know for a fact O' Reillys can't get it and I just looked
on AutoZones website and didn't see it there so I'm assuming they can't get it either. So looks like I'm back to square one guys.
