Whats up guys,
Ever since owning my tC2 I have realized the lack of suspension parts available to us, I am here, posting this to try and change that!
I have been in contact, over the past several weeks with an aftermarket suspension manufacturer, Fortune Auto.
I called asking if they had intentions of making coilovers for the tC2, and after explaining to them that our market lacked a high-quality, high performance coilover suited for us who may never intend to Autocross (but want the ability to), who daily drive, those who demand a excellent-quality ride, and want to go LOWWWW
......
They were in!
During our conversations I listed the following qualities that must be achieved,
- Adjustable top mount
- 7-10k spring rates
- 2.5 to 3.5" lowering from stock
- adjustable dampening
- ride height adjustment separate from spring pre-load
All of which they assured me could and would be incorporated into the final product design; I told him if any of these were left out, I wouldn't even be interested!
Here is some media and information that Fortune Auto provided to us:

So you want to go low? Fortune coilovers are height adjustable independent of spring preload. This allows you to go real low with out affecting suspension travel. This translates into a smooth ride without hitting your bumpstops!

"All Fortune Auto shocks use a superior DIGRESSIVE piston. This technology allows for stiff, progressive (linear) damping at low stroke speeds. This helps to control vehicle body motion like roll, dive and squat. However at fast stroke speeds (i.e. high speed bumps) the suspension is kept supple in response to bumps and irregularities in the road.

Every Fortune Auto coilover is extensively dyno tested and matched with in specifications to insure a consistent and uniform set of coilovers. This rigorous testing has earned us our ISO certification.

All Fortune shocks are also constructed with a oversized 57mm shock body. This provides for greater ride quality and reliability. The pistons also utilize synthetic shock oil. Stainless steel pistons are coupled with cold forged aluminum mounts that are anodized. This provides for superior corrosion resistance!
Lastly Fortune suspension is assembled and serviced in the USA. We also can custom valve shocks in house and provide superior tech support and service."
Here is a video showing our rebuild capabilities:

Our coilovers are also used extensively in motorsports applications exhibiting exceptional performance and reliability:http://vimeo.com/18221160
Fortune also offers Swift spring upgrades on all coilovers.

Swift Springs are superior in every way to a conventional silicone chrome spring.

So here is the business part....
The final pricing will be approx. $.........deep breath.....$1300-1500.
I know this sounds a lot, but for $1400 you get the Tein SS-P...which aren't even be comparable to the quality and performance
They (and I
) need 10 (ten) people who are very interested & willing to make a deposit (approx. 1/2 of the total cost)
Once I have a list of 10 interested, I will again contact Fortune Auto, and come back with concrete pricing figures and a more precise delivery time as well as put you (the buyer) in contact directly with the manufacturer a (6-8 weeks for total product development)
I need serious replies guys, if this is going to happen like I know it will, I need members with cash in hand, (or in the bank at least ;) )
If you need ANY information, feel free to post, PM me, or contact Fortune Auto USA directly @ 877-227-0260
Thanks for your time guys, and happy modding!

^^^ Problem is that I only have cash in hand for the deposit, not the full amount, and I dont feel comfortable adding myself to the list if I dont have enough to cover all of it. hence why I asked about time frames. If I get enough saved up in the next week or 2 then yea, I will definately be in.
I’ve got the TRD springs on my car…they work well. It lowered the car 1”…it’s a very nice compromise for a steer car. When that suspension wares out, I’ll definitely take real hard look at them. I really like their front camber adjustment plates that they make for their shocks. If they make a comparable rear upper control arm, I am willing to pay in full for both the camber adjustment components if they fit the stock suspension pieces.
I am tempted...
Running tight on cash at the moment and possible roommate situation could leave me with a 600$ month rent... But, if this stays open for another week or two... I may be jumping on...
I like my S-Techs... but they just don't quite hit the spot. ;p

Alright guys, I'm gonna have to BUMP this thread!
The pace is a little slower than I had hoped, but with all great things, it takes time.
Plus, I REALLY want these!

Hey Austin,
Is there any way they could make the front shock tower camber plate for the stock suspension and a rear upper adjustable suspension link to adjust the rear camber? Will it help you guys out? Let me know…

The adjustable rear upper control arm is a GO, but I'm not sure there is enough demand for the front. The idea sounds good tho, a top mount for the front strut that fits a stock strut, with a plate for adjusting camber. Hmmm....
Usually if you're wanting that adjustability, Most would just recommend a full coilover set. Is there any reason you are wanting to retain the stock strut, other than price?

Usually, but I already got the TRD lowering springs and there is nothing wrong with the OEM shocks right now…they are doing their job properly. After 100,000 miles, I will probably need to replace them, but not right now…so, money is a big one.
I’ve got the front camber bolts on my Honda Fit, and they come loose every once in a while…so I want something better for the tC.
If they give u the exact specs on how low we can go let me know. I want definate specs. I have the money, and I'll be more then willing to buy it. I just need the definate specs, and obviously more people.
P.S. Try bumping more.
