Default TB Performance Products Rear Mid Chassis Brace

We just finished up the designing and testing of a replacement brace for the sheet metal rear mid chassis brace. The location is in the rear end of the exhaust tunnel. The stock brace was incredibly flimsy so we came in and got to work. After spending the day with 2Tcornot2Tc working on our mid chassis cooperation brace,(brace is on the track in AZ right now gathering data!) he showed us some really clever tricks used to maximize the strength in the steel we use. We spent some time over the last few months designing our products to incorporate the newer ideas and we saw really interesting results. One of the results was this mid chassis brace which utilizes our standard 1" square tube steel, but turned on its edge and webbed with more tubing in the center to help transmit the load more efficiently to the bolts connecting it to the chassis! No lie, we are positive that this brace could support the entire car. Now obviously these pictures are raw metal and taken out in front of the shop but we really wanted to show off the new design. We currently ship all braces out in a textured black high durability finish.

put a mesh on it so if you fold down the seats, this can use as a cargo stopper as well.
