19" wheels too big?
I can piggyback on someone's thread that talk about 19" wheels, but I don't want to change the tone or talk them out of it by jumping in.
Do you think 19" are "too big" for a tC? In terms of appearance? Performance? and durability? And would your answer be different if it's the TRD 19" which is actually lighter than the 18 stock OEM wheel.

It's not just the Wheel size. It's What Size Tires in Combination with the Rims.
You can go to 19", even 20" IF you have the Correct Low Profile Tires.
You need to stay with the Recommended Sizes in the Chart if you don't want problems.
IF you Lower the car, that is a Whole Different story. You should Consult a Tire and Wheel Specialist in your area for fitment.
Personally, the TRD 19" 7-Spoke Alloy Wheel would be the Largest I would go with IF I wanted to go bigger.
I can't b/c I really Prefer the 18" Black Alloy Wheels that came with my RS9 b/c it fits my 'Batman' Theme.

19" wheel on 2012 Scion tC
I have Rohana RC10 19×8 1/2 front and 19x91/2 on rear, +25 offset, tires 225/35/19 front, and 255/35/19 on the rear, no rubbing, with TRD springs 1 and 1/2 inch drop.

I had the Ted 19" 7 Spoke wheels look great. Sold them and got the 19" Five:Ad S7 wheels offset real aggressive + 35
I get more compliments on those then my TRD. But like MR_LUV said 19" would be the biggest especially if you lower the car.
