The silver inner lip and black outer lip make an optical illusion of the wheels being smaller and the tires being huge. Those are crappy pics, I was very short on time and running out of daylight. Seeing the car in person is a whole different story. It looks aggressive and mean imo. The tires are 1.5lbs heavier than stock. The rims are ultra light compared to stockers.I dropped roughly 6lbs total on each corner. Edit I made a typo as well, Tires are 245/40/18's. They fit nice and square with the wheel and roughly 1/8" smaller in diameter.

Thanks! I wanted a more "muscular" look. I think I pulled it off. I'm very happy with them. I'm too old to "embrace the rice."

The 4th pic of whole vehicle from driver front makes them look the best. Silver lip def makes them appear small though

For dummy terms I guess you could say. Lol. The higher the offset the more sucked in your rims are to your car making it look ugly. The lower the offset the further you wheels stick out making it sexy but don't go too far! IMO the best wheel Size for our cars are a 18x9 with a +30 offset. But that's my opinion. Others are running a 18x9.5 with +30, and +40. One guy is running a 18x9.5 with +15 an it sticks out a out an inch. So it's all what you prefer.

Use them for furniture, you know.. Redneck coffee table, end tables and such...They are sitting in my living room right by the big wooden wire spools the electric companies use.

Okay okay. well my dad is worried about them sticking out too much because it might be illegal? do you think that would be a problem if i got an offset of +30 or higher? and can the offset affect whether the tire may rub or not, or would that be the width?

illegal? never heard of that lol. but +30 is fine. wouldnt go higher than +40 thats what our sto wheels are. depending on how low you go depends on if it rubs or not. any standard springs are fine with that offset. if you got cooilovers and dropped it all the way theres a chance they might but im not sure. i will find out later this month when i get my set.

Okay. Well i wouldn't get coilovers because they are soo expensive. But would 9.5 inch compared to 9 inch wide tires look more sexy and provide more traction you think? And i have no idea what tires to get for the rims.. xD haha

I think I know what you want and it wood look CLEAN. 18x9.5 with a +30 Offset. 255/40/18 for tires and Eibach sportline springs. Would just about match your taste even though I dont really know you lol.

Question

have a question for rim size

1. will a 18x9.75 with a +20 offset fit on tein Stechs?

2. and if so will it even look good?

3. its either that or getting the 18x8.75 with the +20 offset.

4. which one would look more flush?

Your first wheel choice will rub, no ifs ands or buts about it. You would have to roll the fenders to run those wheels with S-Techs. My wheels are 18x8.5 with a +35 offset, 245/40/18 tires. A hard bump will cause a slight tire scrub on my ride. The 18x8.75 +20 will fit pretty much any 40 series tire you want and a +20 offset will be flush, very flush without too much rubbing depending on tire choice. I highly recommend going with a 245/40/18 size tire. This is the closest size tire to factory rolling diameter without stretching the tire. The stock 225/45/18's will work but the 245/40/18 will look much better imo and fit properly. not to mention the extra tire width will protect the wheels. Changing tires helped the car a lot, the twitchy steering wheel feel is gone and the car feels 10x more stable vs. stock wheels/tires and S-Techs. The ride softened up a bit as well, the S-Techs are kinda stiff compared to stock springs. Use the tire calculator to figure what size tire you want. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
Also browse this whole thread to get an idea of how other peeps wheel and tire choices fit.

thanks.
i was planning on rolling the fenders anyways since i will be on coilovers also. just wondering what wheels would look more flush with the car. i seen someone on here running a 9.5 with +15 offset and i didnt like how they stuck out. would the 9.75 with a +20 be about the same? the tires im thinking about going with are 235/40 on the 9.75 and 225/40 on the 8.75. and dropped on d2 coils (once they come out)

Yes they would be about the same. If you run a 225 or 235 40 18 tire it will be around 1/2 inch smaller in diamenter from stock. It will throw off your speedo a little bit. I'd go with the 235/40/18 on the 18x8.75" wheel but that is just my personal taste.
The 8.75" wide wheel with a +20 offset will stick out 5mm more than a 9.5" wheel with a +35 offset. I'd say that would be perfect for a flush fit if you don't mind rolling the fenders. Wellesly Scion's ride is on 9.5" wheels with +35 offset with S-Tech's. So add 5mm to his setup and that is what you will end up with. You should be golden with that size and offset. Hurry and get them, I wanna see em'.
