Only absolute lock when in a parking lot. At the track event, no.

But I did scrub the caliper a little with the wheel spoke under heavy braking, but that's an Enkei RPF1 spoke trait and not that of the side of wheel.

I'll be adding 2-3mm spacers to fix that moving forward.

 

I see that's good to know since I'm probably going to run 9.5" rims and 255's prob as my DD with all-season's and then use my stocks for autocross since 225's are for ST class. Also, you got +45's right? which is probably why your rubbing?

 

There are a lot of things to take into account for why I have a light rub at lock. Remember, there is no clear cut answer as to what fitment, tire size, brake size, etc to run to make a wheel/tire fit. These figures I provide are as a guide only.

Every manufacturer designs tires differently and some tires may sit wider or narrower than the listed figure. For example, my 255 Advans measure 285 across the tread patch. Also, the offset is one thing, but spokes are another. Where one spoke style may clear brakes and hubs really well, another may not. Barrel clearance is also important. Again, for example, there are some 17" wheels that will clear the average BBK, but some 18's cannot.

Knowing all this is critical to tight fitments. If I went with custom wheels, I could probably have run 18x10's and 285's, but with off the shelf wheels, this is what I got. I wanted Enkei's in black and to get that, I have to get +45. Thankfully for me, they fit, but a little tweaking and they will be flawless!

What tire sizes did you go with?

 

Those wheels do look real nice, but our choice in size leaves a lot to be desired. Not having driven your car, I bet it under steers drastically now. Cars are designed with under steer to begin with and then you gave the rear even more traction than the front by installing wider wheels in the back than in the front. For performance, staggered wheels are NOT the way to go on FWD cars...

I've got 19X9 with 40-mm offset (all the way around)...and there was very little clearance in the back to the drag link...what kind of clearance do you have there with your setup? Include tire make and size...Thanks!

 

One more thing…if you don’t mind. We would like a gauge of the quality of your wheels…
As a rule of thumb...a good indicator of the quality of the wheel, is how much weight was used to balance the wheel. What is the total weight (count both sides) used to get the wheels in balance?
Again...I like those wheels...

 

The tires up front are 225/35/19 and the Tires in the back are 255/30/19
All 4 tires are Kumho Ecsta SPT's

Just got here yesterday. Rota Dpt 18x9.5 ET44.

Did a test fit this morning, Perfect fit! I was a lil worried.










Also weighed the stock wheel and tire while it was off the car...came in at 51.5 lbs.

The rota wheel weighed 21 lbs

@johndeo11 - Yup I got magnetic grey, but I didnt shoot any photos of the entire car

@kahsperr - Na, it should be fine. I talked to 1stOne and his is running 18x9.5 ET45 and said he has no problems with the offset in the rear. He had the spokes contacting the calipers in the front, thats what had me worried about the fit on my wheels!
