LMAO.

You have the lusted after 5x114.3 bolt pattern that tC1 owners have wanted and want to get XXR? If you search enough for just a little more $$$
you can get some used aftermarket wheels from Japan and set yourself apart from a lot of cars, j/s. Search VRwheels and Memoryfab for starters.

It's another option for you to look into that will set your car apart from others running off the shelf wheels if you really want to stand out.

I got such a good deal on these when I bought them. I couldn't pass it up. They're 18x9, I forgot the offsets. I picked them up for $350 for all 4 with two worn drift tires in the back, and two 40% drift tires in the rear.

ryan, no hating...ur ride does look nice and its how you want it (which is the most important part)

but what these guys (and i agree with them) are saying is that fake wheels are (for lack of a better phrase) no good...for multiple reasons.

now just because i dont like fake wheels, doesnt mean im going to hate on others that get them. if u come to me and ask me, i would not recommend them...but heck if u really like it for whatever reasons and still get them, then its not my position to judge

So what makes "real" wheels better than "fake" wheels? XXR might be slightly heavier than Advan, but is that the only reason? They're literally 1/4 of the price. For me personally, unless i'm building a race car, I would take a few extra pounds on each wheel to save $2000

So are there other reasons these "real" rims are better than the "fake" ones?

Question: how are XXR wheels "fake"? They are circular, can mount tires to them, and go on a car. Yes, SOME of their designs might be knockoff, but not all. And for the pictures off broke XXR's and such, it doesn't matter. Take you super expensive racing wheels and drift 50 mph into a curb and same thing will happen. None of us are pro racers or drifters, so why spend $500 a wheel on some forged wheel, that will be no better for street driving. Why do you not knock on Scion's OEM wheels? Those aren't crazy expensive lightweight forged wheels? The ignorance has to stop, guys. You have this mentality burnt into your mind that if it's not JdM yO, it's crap. Either grow up, or go put your 20's on a Civic somewhere.

they're fake...... they look like the real thing but they're not. Like a fake rolex or a fake iPhone. you can get a really cheap iphone too.

but is isn't an iphone. Its a fake.

That's how. how about you grow up and have some respect for the real thing instead of justifying your purchase.

I understand that the designs of XXR are for the most part based on designs of other rims, but what's really the difference. Fake iPhones are a different story, the functionality is different. But is the functionality different on XXR rims?

yes. forged vs. cheap cast wheels.

is the functionality of a fake rolex different than a real rolex? they're both a watch right?

Personally I don't like the style of most expensive wheels on the market.
