lol that's my saying for wheels. people just need to start saying KNOCK OFFS not FAKES because a wheel is a wheel. wheels are like cars there's differences in quality, size, price, ect... you just get what you pay for...bmw m5 vs ford focus,ect...

sorry i dont usually jump in wheel debates but tired of hearing the same crap of calling them fakes. just call the damn things knock offs

I got such a good deal on these when I bought them. I couldn't pass it up. They're 18x9, I forgot the offsets. I picked them up for $350 for all 4 with two worn drift tires in the back, and two 40% drift tires in the rear.[/quote]

these were suppose to be my next purchase but change of plans ;P

I had 16" Rota Slipstreams on my 98 Civic EX for 9.5 years which are the same exact Rota style that was in a pic posted on page 2. Rota Slipstream are a knockoff of Regamaster Evo. Now there's absolutely no reason to pay big money to get the original for a daily driver vehicle that isn't racing.

Kind of the same reason why you don't need Z rated tires if you aren't racing.

I almost typed out a reply to the "fake wheel" posts in this thread, but I changed my mind.

Those xxr's look great, and for the price, you can't beat them!

I might be picking up a set once I get the an engine management for my descendant kit, so I can run some 285's on the xxr's, as they come in 10" widths.

I really don't want to sell my kosei K1's though. If only they were wider.

Thanks man, I've still got a few things on the way. I got some seamless visors on the way. Also, bought a new grill from grillcraft in black, which I haven't installed since I want to put 4 fog lights behind it; and pretty soon some TRD springs, and a viper 5704v alarm w/ a trunk pop, tilt sensor, and a window automization kit that will be installed later this week.

I have a set of hotchkis springs for sale if you're interested. Awesome drop, and really helped the xB's handling.

Whats the deal with the cheap wheel haters, personally I like to buy wheels that are cheap and spend more money on high end tires, that's what really important after all.

also if my wheels get stolen or curb rashed its not that big a deal, not to mention if you lose the centercaps or whatever, I like those XXR wheels, who cares if they are cheap?

^^^not gonna lie i've been seeing a lot of people lately on forums or fb who spend all the $ on the wheels but use some of the cheapest tires (some off brand stuff i've never heard of ). i'd def be spending $ on quality tires as well because you blow out a tire there goes the wheel

Or if you like the hardware showing this is an option

Basically. they are mad, because they spent a TON of money on wheels, because other people told them fake wheels are lame, and they wanted others to approve of their car.

But some people buy the wheels THEY want, and could care less what other people say/hate on about their car. They also saved $1200-$2400 by not buying "real" used wheels. I think that has alot to do with why they are mad.

This coming from the guy who has old, ooold Kosei k1's, only because I love the style, and no one makes a "knock off" of them.

Take everything I said with a grain of salt, this is only my opinion, and is based off of years of watching vw guys bash on people's "fake" wheels, while driving cars worth $2000, with racelands, the cheapest tires they could find, and wheels worth $2400.

Nothing wrong with replica wheels as long as you aren't doing any serious racing on them.

Do you really have to wear brand name jeans as opposed to knockoff brands that are still just plain ole jeans?
